Washington Redskins Rely on Jason Campbell

Which Jason Campbell is the quarterback Redskins NFL enthusiasts can anticipate this season? The qb that is disliked and halfway outside the sphere? Or is Campbell the second version of Doug Williams, as Clinton Portis has so powerfully stated lately?
His performance is what the 200 season is all about. Clinton Portis might close out this year with close to eleven thousand yards rushing through his lifetime, aligning himself for Hall of Fame deliberation with nearly three or four solid seasons left in his career.
It won’t mean much.
Malcolm Kelly might prove to be one of the elite young wide receivers in the game of football this season, capable of receiving comparisons to Andre Johnson and Calvin Johnson by season’s end.
It will not make a difference.
Brian Orakpo could be the second coming of Lawrence Taylor, wreaking havoc on the weak side of the whole NFC East.
It won’t mean much.
All that means anything is that Washington comes out on top in no less than ten games, and that their quarterback is the most important figure in every one of these anticipated 10 wins.
Disregard the reality that he went half a year in 2008 lacking an INT, it was all revolving around the marvelous Clinton Portis in the course of that span. When the tide turned on the Skins, it wasn’t Clinton Portis that got the blame.
It was Campbell, who wasn’t the only player with lowered production in the course of the swoon, although was the lone addressee of the tabloid radio and print media drama that came after.
Most people are in Jason Campbell’s corner, and no one heads up that corner’s cheers more so than me.
But from a place of objectivity, there is a fine line between brilliance and mess for Campbell this impending season, and nothing else Washington can do or is able to do will eclipse the consistency he needs to exhibit from the first game and beyond.
