Eleven Things To Look For Before Joining a Network Marketing Company

Where should you start your research? If you are new to network marketing, be aware that there are hundreds if not thousands of companies out there claiming to be the right network marketing choice for your next business venture. You must do some research before you join any one of them. Here are some questions you’ll need answers to:

1. How much does it cost to join?
2. Who will be my sponsor?
3. How will I market myself and my products/services?
4. How will I make money?
5. How much work is involved?
6. How much time will it take to get to the income level I want?
7. Who owns this company and can I easily contact them?
8. Is this company willing to help me?
9. Do I have to recruit anyone?
10. Is this a legitimate business that I can get excited about?
11. Will this company be around for a long time?

Do you have to check out all these questions?
Yes, because all of these questions and more will eventually find its way to your mind and, therefore, you must be careful not to jump into anything too quick. Your sponsor can help answer many of your questions. They should be open and explain everything you need to know about your commissions. If you even feel a little bit suspicious or get a gut feeling that you are not being told everything you need to know, it may be a signal to check out another network marketing business.

Who should you listen to?
There are many social networking sites that enable you to communicate with others in network marketing. Some of the people on these sites have been network marketing for years and are sponsors to thousands of people already. However, that doesn’t mean they are working with a legitimate, legal businesses. Check it out with several people to see if you get the same report. Always check out the company with others in the company by reading testimonies, emailing someone else in the company, talking to the company representatives themselves and even checking on the Better Business Bureau website bbb.org

Can you find a company with no costs for starting up?
No, if they make it sound that way, run. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! Know that when you start a business, you will always have some type of start-up fees. You’ll need office space, even if it is at home. You’ll need a computer, Internet service, phone, business cards, a personal website (not just the company provided one), an auto-responder, and time and money to market the products. You’ll need to order some of the products you intend to sell so that you can testify about it to your recruits and customers. You need to dress the part too because you won’t always be at home behind the desk. There are times you may need to attend conferences to educate yourself more about the products or services and gain marketing knowledge. When you are in business, you need to conduct yourself as such.

How much will you need to invest when you first join a company?
Joining a company can cost hundreds to thousands of dollars, but it is best to leverage your start-up costs. If you are ready to begin a business in network marketing, check out my book, Rise Above The Rat Race. It will help you pursue the right network marketing company that fits your needs and show you ways to leverage your start-up capitol.

What are my 3 key things you need to know about earning the kind of money you want?

Be thankful and content with what you have.

Be giving and share with others.

Find a good
mentor.

These are my top 3 because they literally can change your finances when practiced and utilized on a regular basis. For many, this requires a total mindset change. People tend to get into a rut in their financial lives just as they do with their personal lives. To break the chains of financial bondage, you must begin by living out the 3 keys I just mentioned.

Why do you need to these 3 keys? Without thankfulness, you’ll continue an existence of greediness and expectations of undeserved financial reward. Without giving, you’ll continue to reap a life of dependency and destitute. Without finding a good mentor, you will spend a good amount of time wondering in search for answers about what to do next. You would be better off going back to school if you cannot find a mentor or simply refuse to get one. You need to do something to get back on your feet or move to the next level of earnings you truly desire.

Is this all you have to do? No, these 3 key areas are meant to provide you with a starting point so that you can earn the kind of money you want. It’s a fairly simple list but you’d be amazed at how many people don’t even think about these things, much less how they could impact their current financial status. Whether you just lost your job or have been in business for many years, these tips are useful to everyone because they work.

If you are tired of the Rat Race and/or would like more information on how to change your financial situation, check out my new book, Rise Above The Rat Race at http://riseabovetheratracebook.com/ and find out what else you can do to earn the kind of money you want!

How To Find a Legitimate Home Business

What if the companies you choose to partner with closes? Sorry, there is no formula out there that can tell you if a company will last or not. You try to “guess” best you can. However, even those that have been around a long time even close. After becoming the home business guru, the companies I partnered with closed for different reasons. Yes, it happens to experienced online marketers also! After exhausting myself searching the Internet for a legitimate business I could work from home and fit the economic situation of today’s economy, I finally found the right one for me. I had been with business where there was a high entry fee and realized that at this time, a low entry fee was now the way to go. I found a business anyone with a computer can do, a product everyone both needs and is already using. I am happy to tell everyone about it.

It’s not that I always wanted a home business – I more or less was forced to make a decision. I was diagnosed with cancer and I could not do all the things I did before. Around the same time, my husband was forced into early retirement as his entire career was so longer needed in the United States. Financially, we were not prepared to retire and I refused to live a meager lifestyle. I had to find something that I could do from home and make a very solid income. After three years of working from home on the Internet, I knew that was what I wanted to continue doing.

So if you haven’t been through the school of hard knocks, how do you find a good business to partner with? When I first started out I looked at over 200 hundred businesses before selecting one. This time around, I was experienced enough to know what I wanted and pounced on it when I found the right one. With a legitimate home business I’ve been able to work smarter, not harder by leveraging. You can do it too. Contact me if you’re interested and save yourself some time and money. The research has already been done for you. You don’t have to go to the school of hard knocks; I can mentor you step by step. Isn’t it time you started earning some solid money?

Why Is It Important To Have Your Own Personal Opt-In Page?

This is an example of an Opt-In page box.

What is an opt-in page? When you click on a site, they offer you something free or you get entry to the next page. This is an exchange for your name, email and sometimes your phone number. An opt-in page forces the reader to opt-in to “Find out more”. This could be to find out more about your product, receive a report, receive a download and so on. Where does this information go? It goes to a list owned by a company or person. It may seem simpler and cheaper to build a list of leads with the opt-in system your company provides for you, but is this a wise decision?

When someone opts-into your page, their name and emails goes to your list. You are building assets by building your own list. While you are using a company opt-in system, the lead may or may not go exclusively to you. Some companies have the name and email go to more than one location. Depending on where the other list goes, it may or may not be beneficial to you. You may have given someone else authority to have access to your list. Depending on who this person is, may determine if it is in your favor to have them contact the person who opted-in.

The person who has opted-in has become YOUR lead on YOUR list, and is YOUR asset. The goal is to build a huge list (size of a football stadium or larger) as this is a numbers game. They may not want to join you or buy from you at the moment, but they are now open to looking and listening to what you have to offer, as they hope to gain value and knowledge. With each email they receive they are looking for value and seeing if you are real. The longer they stay subscribed on your list, the more trust they gain and the more they see you as a valued leader. Over time, as their trust builds with you, you gain more and more influence with them. Remember that luck is when preparation meets opportunity. So, when opportunity arises, BANG, they join you! It is like building a savings account for the future. You don’t know exactly when the next opportunity will come along or when they will feel a future need, but they are saved in your trust bank. Just like you gain interest on your money in a savings account, you gain more and more trust over time with the leads who have opted-in on your lists.

This is a picture of AWeber list.

So, what happens if you have used your company’s opt-in page to build your list and you leave that company? Do the lists come with you? Probably not! Using a company’s opt-in page is like renting, you have built an asset for that company, not for you. This is why you want to own your own opt-in page. The lead goes to your list, and only your list, in your asset bank, not the company’s asset bank you are presently with. There are other companies around who can build an opt-in page for you. They may cost more upfront, but you will exclusively own your list, not rent the list you have built for your company. Companies like AWeber and Get Response allow you to build, store and communicate with the people on the lists that you own. You can keep the person who has opted-in for a long as you want, no matter what company you partner with.

So, is it really cheaper to go with the opt-in pages your company provides or do you want to build your own assets with your own list? The correct answer is in how you project your future. If you will never have a future need for the prospects you have built a relationship with, and then go with the companies opt-in pages. However, if you aren’t sure of your future, why not keep the opt-in asset you worked so hard to build?
